Company History
Set-up in 2002, McKeegan International Ltd has grown rapidly, primarily working with approximately only five subcontractors to become one of Irelands leading International Transport and Freight Forwarding Companies, now conducting business with over one hundred and fifty subcontractors. As a result McKeegan International Ltd has become large enough to cope but still small enough to care.
Initially, the company operated from a small home based office, (which remains head office), but swift expansion meant that the company had to move to larger premises and recruit a further four members of staff. Thus, in January 2005, McKeegan International Ltd opened a new substantial office in the village of Cushendall.
This swift expansion gave McKeegan International Ltd the opportunity to join BIFA. Accordingly, since 2004, the company has been a recognised member of the British International Freight Association (BIFA) and trades under BIFA’s 200B Standard Trading Conditions. In 2005 McKeegan International became a member of the International Federation Forwarders Associations – (FIATA).
